Mamadou Doumbia knows strikers are judged by their goalscoring record - and he has set himself a target of 15 to 20 goals this season.
The powerhouse centre-forward capped a fine personal display with the winner against Preston, from Iker Bravo’s sumptuous assist, and the Mali international revealed he often badgers the Hornets’ wide players to supply him with more crosses than a pools coupon.
Asked what he would regard as a good season, Doumbia said: “I need to score 15 or 20 goals - I need to score more than last season. I try to play good, and give everything, and hopefully the goals will follow.
