Dionisi: Bove sets a great example and he will have a big part to play this season

ALESSIO DIONISI expects Edoardo Bove to be a powerhouse of Watford’s midfield this season.
Much of the narrative around Bove, since his arrival on a five-and-a-half year deal at Vicarage Road last January, has been about his return from cardiac arrest while on loan with Fiorentina in 2024.
But now Hornets head coach Dionisi wants 24-year-old Bove to become the talk of the town because of his exploits on the pitch.
All but two of the Italian midfielder’s 11 appearances for the Hornets last season were from the bench as he felt his way back into the blood and thunder of competitive football, and Bove is eager to add to his only goal for the club, in the 3-1 win against Wrexham in March, by supplying added firepower in the box.
